So how in the world did it become the end of January?!? I have no idea where the time goes.
But - in my continued march into the present - I have joined both Facebook and Twitter. It has been great fun to reconnect with friends from my past. Problem is - I am totally intimidated by writing comments. Why? Because the one thing I have noticed is that people are really funny and interesting writers. I feel for certain that my life is equally as humorous - but when I write about it somehow it just comes off as odd. I guess I will figure it all out.

And yet more thoughts about shoes

So, here it is almost half way into September, and I am shopping for new sandals for my son. Just my luck the kid would have a growth spurt this close to cooler weather. But since my son likes to wear sandals until there is practically snow on the ground - shopping for sandals is the order of the day.

Since I love a good sale, I am surfing from one site to the next - and it occurs to me that I would love a place (perhaps a blog??) that would tell me about the really good sites/sales at the moment for designer kids clothes and shoes. It would save me tons of money and time!!!

I am hoping that is what this blog will become - a place where we can all share our bargains and discount codes for boutique items!

Unfortunately, I did not find any stellar deals for my son's sandals - but if anyone has sites they love, please let me know! I will compile a list every few days and post it - so check in often for links to designer items at discount prices!

I am slowly creeping into the new century and trying my hand at this blogging thing. Part of me is sure it is just a fad but since it's been around for awhile I am going to give it a whirl. Better late than never I guess. Which has kinda been my M.O. for most of my life. I do things late. It takes me awhile to get into the groove. Although I did jump right onto the bandwagon of the Madonna hair bow and Flashdance leg warmers - but I was young and looking back, neither of those things was really such a good idea.

I am starting to not be as offended by anything made by Ugg as I used to be. Although I still can't wrap my brain around the whole Croc phenomenon. Aren't they garden shoes?? Why are children wearing them to school? (Heed the words of Tim Gunn - if a fad is ugly you do not have to wear it!!) Fast forward to next summer and I will probably own 6 pairs. I click in late. It's how I operate.

So here it is - my launch into the world of cyberspace. What does any of this have to do with The Royal Wardrobe or who I am or what I do?? Nothing, really. But I will get into all of that..... later.
